Workshop

The workshop that followed in September 2021 the symposium of the artistic research project Fabulation for Future was mentored by Madhuja Mukherjee, Kika Nicolela, Jyoti Mistry, Gusztáv Hámos / Katja Pratschke and Jean-Pierre Bekolo. They initiated the joint artistic work and exchange among the deputies of the International Committee to Save the Earth through Speculative Fabulation. How can we meet the current ethical and ecological challenges with artistic and philosophical means?

Participants and mentors were invited to try out their first artistic or philosophical actions in the productive field of tension between local and global. 

The outcome of the individual as well as group projects are still in progress and will be presented in form of an online exhibition that will open on June 11, 2022.

Audiovisual Projects in the Making

The corona pandemic has accelerated digitization. Audiovisual exchange has nowadays become a basic condition of interpersonal proximity and operative encounters in all areas of life. Like the people in Plato’s cave, we are in the process of being completely immersed in the digital worlds of images and sounds, which are changing our understanding of reality and existence. In the artistic and philosophical practice of the workshop we therefore kept in mind the form of audiovisual results of the projects, speculative concepts and fabulations.
